Shannon Purser
Shannon Purser (born June 27, 1997 in Atlanta ) is an American actress . Purser was best known for her role as Barbara Holland in the sci-fi / fantasy series Stranger Things and Ethel Muggs in the Netflix series Riverdale .
Life
Shannon Purser is from Atlanta . As a child she took part in school theater performances. At the age of sixteen she was selected for the character of Barbara Holland in the 2016 Netflix series Stranger Things . That role earned her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series .
Shannon Purser has played the role of Ethel Muggs in the television series Riverdale since 2017 . That same year, the horror film Wish Upon came out, in which she played June Acosta .
For the teen comedy Sierra Burgess Is a Loser , which was filmed in 2018 , Shannon Purser played the leading role.
