Saint-Laurent-de-la-Barrière is a former French commune of 108 (status 1 January 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). It belonged to the Arrondissement of Rochefort (until 2017: Arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély ) and the canton of Saint-Jean-d'Angély (until 2015: Canton Tonnay-Boutonne ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Laurentais .
With effect from January 1, 2018, the previously independent municipalities of Vandré , Chervettes and Saint-Laurent-de-la-Barrière were merged to form Commune nouvelle La Devise and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Vandré.

Saint-Laurent-de-la-Barrière is about 42 kilometers east-south-east of La Rochelle on the motto . Saint-Laurent-de-la-Barrière is surrounded by the neighboring communities Chervettes in the north, Puyrolland in the east, Annezay in the south, Genouillé in the west and south-west and Vandré in the west and north-west.
