Sharpa ( Dzongkha : ཤར་ པ་ ), also Shaba , is one of ten Gewogs (blocks) of the Dzongkhag Paro in western Bhutan . Sharpa Gewog is in turn divided into five Chiwogs (constituencies). According to the 2005 census, 4072 people live in this weight on an area of ​​76.4 km² in 21 villages or hamlets in around 250 households.

The Gewog is centrally located in the Paro district and extends over altitudes between 2200 and 2850  m . The agriculture of the Gewog is characterized by rice fields and apple orchards .

In addition to the Gewog administration, there are two secondary schools, a lower and a middle secondary school .
