Shaun O'Brien

Shaun William O'Brien (born May 31, 1969 ) is a retired Australian cyclist .

In 1990 Shaun O'Brien won two silver medals at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland : in the scratch race over ten miles on the track and in the team pursuit (with Brett Aitken , Stephen McGlede and Darren Winter ). At the UCI track world championships in 1991 in Stuttgart , he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit, together with Aitken, McGlede and Stuart O'Grady . In the same composition, the Australian team won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Barcelona . In 1993 O'Brien, who drove like gold medalist Brett Lancaster for the Shepparton Cycling Club , finished third in the Australian championship in two-team driving with David McKenzie .
