Shaun William George Ryder (born August 23, 1962 in Little Hulton near Manchester , England) is a British singer .
Life
From 1981 to 1993 Ryder was the singer of the Happy Mondays , one of the more important music groups in the Madchester movement. In 1995 he founded the group Black Grape , which was active until 1997. In 2000 Ryder was the guest singer of the English tenor Russell Watson (on his debut album The Voice ) on their cover version of the song Barcelona . In 2005 Shaun Ryder made it to the top of the British singles charts for the first time : as a guest singer with Dare of the music group Gorillaz .
Ryder participated in the tenth season of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! , the UK version of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! , part.
