Shaunette Hildabrand

Shaunette Hildabrand (* around 1963) is an American ( jazz ) singer. Her great role model is Billie Holiday .

Career

Hildabrand, who is from Oklahoma, studied classical singing at Midwestern State University and graduated magna cum laude in 1985 ; she then continued her studies in New York City. In 1991 she moved to Europe. She has worked with Franz Jackson , Truck Parham , Harry Allen , Eddie Locke and Hazy Osterwald and has sung at many important jazz festivals in Europe. Hildabrand appears regularly with Bernd Lhotzky and Frank Roberscheuten in the group Three's a Crowd ; she also works with The Swingcats , the Echoes of Swing Orchestra and Engelbert Wrobel .

Hildabrand teaches classical and jazz singing as a lecturer at the Regionaal Instituut voor Cultuur en Kunst in Weert and at various workshops in Europe and the USA.
