from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

She's Got That Light is a song by the German pop band Orange Blue , which was released on April 29, 2000 as their debut single. content

The song, a love song, conveys a mixture of optimistic and melancholy mood. The piano-dominated ballad shows, among other things, soul influences. It starts and ends with samples of birdsong. A backward movement is used several times in the song as an enhancing stylistic device , i. H. the key is shifted up before the chorus .

success

The piece was used as the theme song for the talk show Arabella that same year . The single sold around 400,000 times in Germany and was awarded a gold record. In 2001 the band was nominated for the Echo as best newcomer due to its success . Because of this title, which is the band's most successful, Orange Blue has been variously referred to as a one-hit wonder , even though the band released four studio albums and sold more than a million records. The piece, sung in English, was only successful in German-speaking countries.

Music video

The accompanying video shows the singer duo with a wing partly mounted on a wagon in the landscape on avenues and between cornfields. At the end of the piece, the band is shown playing music in knee-deep water. The female lead in the video clip is played by Vaile .

Republication

The title has been republished several times, for example on compilations such as Bravo Hits 31 from October 27, 2000 and Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten Fan-tastic .
