Shea Gordon (born May 16, 1998 in Derryloughan ) is a Northern Irish football player who is under contract with Motherwell FC in the Scottish Premiership . It is currently awarded to Partick Thistle .

Career

Shea Gordon was born in 1998 in Derryloughan , a townland in County Tyrone , Northern Ireland . As a child, he began his football career in the county's third largest city with the Dungannon Swifts . In 2014, Gordon moved to England to join the Sheffield United youth team . In May 2016 he signed his first professional contract with the Blades . In September of the same year he was awarded to Stalybridge Celtic in the National League for a month , where he was twice used in the league. In January 2017 Gordon moved to Scotland for Motherwell FC . On April 5, 2017, he made his Scottish Premiership debut against Hamilton Academical when he came on for Jacob Blyth . For the 2018/19 season, Gordon was awarded to Partick Thistle .

National team

As a youth player for Dungannon Swifts, Gordon made his debut for Northern Ireland in 2013. He made his debut in the Northern Irish U16 against Finland . He played three games for the U-16 national team before playing six times in the U-17s from 2014 to 2015 . This was followed by missions in the U-19 national team . In June and September 2017 he made two appearances as a substitute in the U-21 national team as part of qualifying for the U-21 European Championship in Italy in 2019 .
