The sheets peak is about 1,800 meters high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises 1.5 km northwest of Koopman Peak on the north side of the Wisconsin Range in the Horlick Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the mountain basis of own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1967 by the journalist Joseph D. Sheets, who at the Operation Deep Freeze of Was involved in 1965, 1966 and 1967.
