Career

society

Mac-Donald went through the football boarding school of Ajax Amsterdam before he started his professional career at FC Eindhoven in the summer of 2000 . As early as the following season he moved to the top Belgian club RSC Anderlecht , where he received his first appearances in the Jupiler League , the highest Belgian football league. In order to be able to give him even more match practice, the club officials decided to loan him to Heracles Almelo in the Netherlands in summer 2004 and to Hamburger SV for the 2005/06 season in Germany . At the Hanseatic League Mac-Donald made his debut in the Regionalliga Nord on August 2, 2005 against Werder Bremen's reserves . The Dutchman scored his first goal in a 4-0 away win against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen on September 3, 2005. During this time he was in competition with HSV strikers such as Mustafa Kucukovic , Rouwen Hennings , Yusuf Adewunmi and Charles Takyi . At the end of the season he returned to Anderlecht. The club finally separated from Mac-Donald in the summer of 2006. The offensive player returned to his home country and found a new employer in AGOVV Apeldoorn . There he performed well and the then English second division West Bromwich Albion brought him to England as a loan player in the Football League Championship . For the 2007/08 season, the loan business was extended by a year before Mac-Donald finally moved to West Bromwich in the summer of 2008. At the end of the 2007/08 season, his new club secured first place in the league, which meant promotion to the Premier League . Meanwhile, Mac-Donald was on February 8, 2008 at Hereford United , in the Football League Two , the fourth highest English league, loaned out. On his debut for Hereford against Dagenham & Redbridge , Mac-Donald was able to contribute two goals to the 4-1 win. Three days later he scored a hat trick against Rochdale AFC . In March he returned to Bromwich. Mac-Donald made his Premier League debut on August 16, 2008 against Arsenal , when he came on in the 68th minute against Marek Čech . In the winter break of the 2008/09 season, Bromwich decided to borrow again and gave the attacker to the Belgian club KSV Roeselare .

In November 2006 Mac-Donald made his debut in the Dutch U21 . The opponent was the English junior team.
