Siberia (original title Siberia ) is an American film from 2018. Directed by Matthew Ross, the main roles are played by Keanu Reeves as the criminal diamond dealer Lucas Hill and Ana Ularu . The criminal American diamond dealer Lucas Hill, who knows his way around Russia and speaks fluent Russian, wants to sell diamonds to the Russian oligarch Volkov together with a Russian friend in St. Petersburg. When his friend disappears with the goods, Hill travels to Mirny in Siberia, where the friend is supposed to stay and the friend's brother works in a large diamond mine. Here he met Katya, the owner of a small restaurant and who lived temporarily in Brisbane , Australia and therefore speaks fluent English. A romance develops between Hill and the young Russian.
