Sibylle Severus

Sibylle Severus ( pseudonym for Sibylle Obrist-Streng , born August 2, 1937 in Mittenwald / Upper Bavaria ) is a Swiss violin maker and writer .

Life

Sibylle Severus attended violin making school after high school . She worked as a master violin maker in Amsterdam and Zurich . In Zurich she dealt with Germanic Studies at the Federal Institute of Technology and began with the publication of literary texts. In 1998 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .

Sibylle Severus is the author of novels , short stories and essays and a member of the association " Authors of Switzerland " and the German-Swiss PEN Center .
