The organization's head office and federal office is in Euskirchen , from where assignments in elementary schools, kindergartens and other social institutions in which children take part are organized.

aims

Children are the focus of the Safe-Strong-Team. The Safe and Strong team tries to convey a new feeling of security to specialists, parents and children.

Through role-playing in multidisciplinary teams, children should be made "safe and strong" according to the organization name. Children should be able to grow up without worries. Therefore, the Safe-Strong-Team makes a contribution to child protection . In the courses, children should experience strengths that they did not know about before.

The Safe-Stark team not only offers prevention courses for children, but also trains daycare workers, teachers at elementary schools as well as parents and social workers in order to strengthen the children's sphere of life and all social instances and reference persons for prevention work and background knowledge about abuse and Raise awareness of violent crime. They should act quickly and correctly in dangerous situations and ideally protect the child preventively.

Contents of the Safe-Strong courses

The concept of the initiative is based on a mixture of practical exercises and theoretical knowledge transfer:

A) Hazard detection

B) Avoidance of Hazards

C) Child - friendly self-defense

  • What are the different types of offenders?
  • Simple but effective self-defense techniques or loosening techniques
  • How do I defend myself properly?
  • Fall school

D) Realistic and conflict-oriented role play

  • I am home alone and the doorbell / phone rings - I am spoken to on the way to school
  • Somebody speaks to me in the playground
  • A driver speaks to me
  • How do I behave towards an exhibitionist?
  • How do I behave on the internet?
  • How do I use the mobile devices correctly?
  • How do I protect myself from hacker attacks?
  • Promote media security and media literacy

E) Reality check

The children run through a hazard course that corresponds to their respective age and level of knowledge. In doing so, they encounter trained dummies who want to address and persuade them. The children can defend themselves with all the techniques and methods they have learned. The children's behavior is recorded on video. Not only "the foreign offender" is taken into account in the training, but also the immediate environment in which, according to statistics, most attacks occur and abuse also takes place.

F) behavior analysis

The behavior of the children on the danger course is analyzed and reflected on using the video recording. This creates an extended learning effect for the children: They see through the "objective eye of the camera" how they actually behaved and can compare their own behavior with that of the other children.

On the basis of this tried and tested child prevention concept, the on-site trainers adapt to the requirements and needs of the children and work in a practical and solution-oriented manner. First and second graders receive mixed-sex training, while separate-sex courses for girls and boys are offered for third and fourth grades. This child prevention concept is unique in Germany and makes the social organization in the field of violence prevention one of the leading providers in Germany.

successes

In a quarter of a century, more than 15,000 primary schools in Germany were provided with information on violence prevention. It was also possible to train more than 500,000 children, parents and professionals with the prevention concept.
