Christina Surer , b. Bönzli , real name Christina Tomczyk (born March 26, 1974 in Basel ) is a Swiss racing driver , television presenter and model .

Life

Christina Surer completed an apprenticeship as a medical assistant (today's name in Switzerland: MPA, medical practice assistant) and went public for the first time in 1993 when she reached the final of the Miss Switzerland election . In 1996 she married the former Formula 1 driver Marc Surer ; in 2000 the two divorced again. From 1999 to 2003 she lived with the Swiss publisher Jürg Marquard . Then she was in a relationship with Christian Abt , the owner of the touring car racing team Abt Sportsline , until 2005 . In January 2007 she got engaged to the Stuttgart building contractor Tobias Fischer, separated in December of the same year and broke off this engagement. She has been in a relationship with the German racing driver Martin Tomczyk since April 2008 and has been married since January 2013. She has since continued to appear in public under the name Christina Surer; Her private name has been Christina Tomczyk since her marriage. On February 16, 2013, she gave birth to their first child with Tomczyk. In September 2005 she was photographed for the German Playboy magazine . Surer currently works as a presenter for the German private broadcaster Sport1 and has hosted the car magazine Motorshow for the Swiss television broadcaster SRF Zwei since 2007 .

Racing

In 1994 she made her debut as a racing driver at the Swiss Kart Championship. This was followed by various other races such as the 2003 Ford Fiesta ST Cup or the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring . She has been a guest driver for the Seat Leon Supercopa since 2004 . She is also a representative of the Seat and Yokohama brands .

Others

Surer took part in Stefan Raab's Stock Car Crash Challenge in 2005, 2006 and 2007. On March 9, 2007, Surer became the co-driver of a 4-person wok wok world champion 2007 at the 5th Wok World Championship in Innsbruck .

In the second season of Stars on Ice , she and her partner Norman Jeschke missed the finals and dropped out on the penultimate show.

In 2011, she voiced the minivan Minnie in the animated film Cars 2 .
