Norman Jeschke (born March 2, 1979 in East Berlin ) is a German figure skater .

biography

Jeschke began figure skating as a single skater, but later became a pair skater. He started for SC Berlin. His trainer was Knut Schubert . His first figure skating partner was Mariana Kautz . With her he took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics. After the World Championships in 2002 , the couple separated, and Mariana Kautz ended her figure skating career after a brief sporting liaison with Florian Just .

In May 2002 Jeschke found a new partner in the Danish Mikkeline Kierkgaard . This couple was also trained by Knut Schubert in Berlin. Kierkgaard / Jeschke were third in the German championships in 2004. However, due to an ISU rule concerning changing countries, they could not take part in international championships in 2004. In the 2005 season they were canceled due to illness and injuries. The couple continued to work together in Berlin, where they prepared for the next season and possible participation in the Olympics. In the summer of 2005, the couple completed a training camp in Vancouver, Canada . Due to repeated injuries to Mikkeline Kierkgaard, the couple ended their figure skating career in November 2005 without ever having competed at European or World Championships. Until November 2005 Jeschke was with the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr .

In February 2006 Jeschke had a trial session with Annette Dytrt . Since May 2006 they both trained as a couple in Vancouver , Canada with Bruno Marcotte . Dytrt / Jeschke announced their retirement from amateur sport on September 24, 2006 without having participated in a single competition. The reason was a competition ban threatened by the ISU should the couple appear in the Pro7 show Stars auf Eis (for which Dytrt / Jeschke had already signed a contract) or other TV shows with a professional character. His partner in the show that aired in autumn 2006 was Magdalena Brzeska , in the second season of 2007 he ran with Christina Surer .

In 1995 Jeschke took part in Katarina Witt's film Die Eisprinzessin . In 2008, he embodied himself in the RTL soap Alles was geht , where he ran side by side with the leading actress Tanja Szewczenko . He is currently in a relationship with Szewczenko. Their daughter was born on February 25, 2011.
