Sideritis lacaitae is a plant type from the genus sideritis ( Sideritis ) in the family of Labiatae (Lamiaceae).

description

Sideritis lacaitae is a perennial plant that grows to a height of 30 to 60 cm and is more or less hairy with fine felts. The lower leaves are 20 to 50 mm long and 2 to 5 mm wide. They are narrow, inversely lanceolate and more or less notched-toothed. The upper leaves are narrower and have entire margins.

The inflorescences are false whorls, which are four to fourteen apart from each other and consist of about six flowers . The lower bracts are 6 to 7 mm long and 8 to 10 mm wide and are shorter or about the same length as the calyx . They are almost circular-heart-shaped and serrated with more than eleven teeth. The calyx is 6 to 7 mm long and there is no trichome ring on the inside. The crown is about 8 mm long and is pale yellow in color.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 34.

Occurrence

The species occurs in southern central Spain , in the eastern part of the Sierra Morena .
