Seven Sins is a song by the German pop singer , composer and music producer Uwe Busse . The piece is the third single from his second studio album I have a dream . The piece gained greater fame through a cover version by DJ Ötzi and Marc Pircher from 2006.
Creation and artwork
The song was written and produced by Uwe Busse. The song was arranged, recorded and programmed by Rainer Kalb. Rainer Kalb on keyboard and Peter Schneider on guitar were engaged as instrumentalists. The single was released under the Koch Universal music label and distributed by Big Ears Musikverlag. The recordings took place in Busses own recording studio in Bad Arolsen . On the cover of the maxi single - next to the artist name and song title - Uwe Busse can be seen sitting on a stool in front of a red background. The cover picture was shot by Manfred Esser.
Publication and promotion
The first release of Seven Sins took place as an airplay in June 2003. The release as a single took place on June 16, 2003 in Germany. The maxi single contains a remix version of Seven Sins and the song Love Hotel as the B-side . A music video for Seven Sins was shot for the DVD I have a dream released in the same year, but this was not published independently, but only in connection with this DVD.

In seven sins by DJ Ötzi and Marc Pircher is purely a cover version of the original from Uwe Busse. The piece is the first single release from Ötzi's eighth studio album Star Hour . The single was produced by Christian Seitz. On the cover of the maxi single - in addition to artist names and song titles - Ötzi and Pircher can be seen against the backdrop of a mountain backdrop. The first publication of 7 sins took place under the music label Polydor on February 24, 2006 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A published 2-track single contains a radio version and a karaoke version of 7 sins as a B-side. The maxi single has been expanded to include two further remix versions of the song. In order to promote the song, several joint television appearances followed in various hit formats. An official music video was never shot.

7 Sünden reached position 30 in the single charts in Germany and stayed in the charts for a total of 14 weeks. In Austria, the single reached position two and stayed in the top 10 for eight weeks and in the charts for 27 weeks. In Switzerland, the single reached position 79 on the charts in one week. Although the song did not make it to number one, it was still the most successful German-language song in the Austrian single charts for a period of three weeks .
For DJ Ötzi this was the 15th chart success in the German single charts as well as the 17th in Austria and the seventh in Switzerland. It was his eighth top 10 success in Austria. For the seventh time, a single from him was simultaneously placed in the DA-CH countries. For Marc Pircher it was the first chart success in all DA-CH countries; to date, no single of his has made it higher or longer in the charts in any country. For Uwe Busse as an author it was the 25th chart success in the German single charts as well as the second in Austria and the first in Switzerland. It was his first top 10 success in Austria. In Austria and Switzerland, no single has been able to place higher or longer in the charts.
