Siegfried Aldermann (born November 17, 1938 in Forst ; † November 21, 2005 in Babelsberg ) was a German football player. He played in 1957 and 1958 for the BSG Rotation Babelsberg in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football . Aldermann was a two-time GDR junior national player .

Athletic career

At the age of eleven, Siegfried Aldermann began to play organized football for SG Blau-Weiß in his hometown of Forst in 1948 . In 1952, he became a GDR pioneer master with the school team. After changing school to Potsdam , he joined the company sports association (BSG) Rotation Babelsberg in 1955 . With their junior team he won the GDR championship in 1956. When he was accepted into the senior league team of BSG Rotation in 1957 (calendar year season), he was a regular player from the start, only missed one league game as a striker and, at the age of 18, was already top scorer with thirteen goals in Babelsberg. He was appointed to the squad of the GDR junior national team and played two international matches with her in the summer of 1957. After he had played a total of 24 of the 26 league games played in the 1958 season and was successful as a goal scorer five times, he had to relegate to the second-rate GDR league with the BSG rotation . In the following two GDR league seasons, Aldermann was only missing twice in 1959 and scored a total of thirteen goals. In 1961, GDR football was returned to the summer-spring system, and at the same time the 1st team of the BSG Rotation Babelsberg was affiliated with the newly founded SC Potsdam . Because of the season change, 39 games had to be played in the GDR league, of which Aldermann completed 33 matches and scored thirteen goals. In the season 1962/63, in which again only 26 point games were played, he could only be used in seven games due to a serious injury. In the following seasons his stakes could be increased again. In 1963/64 he was missing ten times in the 30 point games, a year later only three games. In the series of the 1965/66 season, he completed thirteen of the fifteen league games. At the beginning of 1966, the football project at SC Potsdam was given up due to unsuccessfulness, as the team had never got beyond mediocrity. The football section of the sports club was affiliated with BSG Motor Babelsberg , which took over the place in the GDR league. Aldermann played fourteen of the remaining fifteen point games with BSG Motor. In the next two seasons he was handicapped again by injuries and was only able to play 38 of the 60 league games. In the summer of 1968, at the age of 29, he said goodbye to competitive sports. In his eleven seasons in the men's division, Siegfried Aldermann had played 49 league games and 202 GDR league games. In the Oberliga he scored eighteen goals, in the GDR league he had 49 hits. As a recreational athlete, he played for the second team of BSG Motor until 1981, and later for the senior team. He then worked as a junior trainer at Motor Babelsberg until he was 60.
