Siegfried Schultzenstein
Siegfried Schultzenstein (born December 15, 1881 in Neukölln , † 1951 in Berlin) was a German lawyer and, after 1945, President of the Reich Debt Administration .
Life
After graduating in law from the son became the Vice President of the Prussian Higher Administrative Court Max Schultz stone in 1903 he the Promotion Dr. jur. et rer. pole. with the topic § 627 BGB at the University of Würzburg . In 1913 he held the position of district judge at the district court in Mitte . A year later he became a judge at the District Court I in Berlin.
Before 1919 he moved to the financial administration of the Reich and in 1919 was appointed finance councilor. Two years later, he was promoted to the regional finance council and then to the state finance council . From 1928 he took a job with the Reich Commissioner for the redemption of the Reich loans of old property (Reichssparkommissar), who belonged to the Reich debt administration. Until 1945 he worked there as a member of the Reich Debt Administration. From 1945 he worked as the head of the administration group for archives of the former Reich debt administration and was president of the debt administration until his death. In the 1930s he lived in Schöneberg (W 30), Neue Bayreuther Strasse 7 , in Berlin .
Before his death he informed the Prime Minister Erhard Hubener of Saxony-Anhalt that he had continued his work in the Reich debt administration without worrying after the war: “Nobody does anything to me; they all seem to have respect for the debts that have outlived the empire. "
Fonts
Schultzenstein wrote several publications on financial law, which dealt mainly with dealing with the Reich debt. He was also the editor of the periodicals Finanzrechtliche Zeitfragen and Meister des Rechts .
