Siegfried Forty

Siegfried Vierzig (* 1923 ; † May 24, 2020 ) was a German Protestant theologian and religious educator .

Life

Siegfried Vierzig studied Protestant theology with Rudolf Bultmann and Ernst Käsemann . At the end of the 1960s he became director of the newly founded Pedagogical-Theological Institute in Kassel. In 1969 he founded the magazine Informations zum Religionsunterricht together with Horst Heinemann .

In 1974 he was appointed to the chair of Protestant theology and religious education at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg as the successor to Helene Ramsauer . In 1991 he retired , his successor was Jürgen Heumann .

His main areas of work included narcissism and feminist theology . Forty died in 2020 at the age of 96.
