Siegfried Wagner (theologian)

Siegfried Paul Gerhard Wagner (born September 5, 1930 in Kreuzburg , Upper Silesia , † May 19, 2000 in Leipzig ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

The study (1949-1954) of theology in Halle and Leipzig joined Wagner in 1958 with the promotion of Dr. theol. at the University of Leipzig . After completing his habilitation on Franz Delitzsch in 1964 at the University of Leipzig, he taught from 1967 to 1972 as a professor with a teaching position for the Old Testament at the University of Greifswald and from 1972 to 1995 as a professor for Old Testament science at the University of Leipzig.
