Sieglinde Trannacher (born November 20, 1961 in Deutsch-Griffen ; † September 30, 2015 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Trannacher was a member of the Carinthian state parliament from 2004 to 2009 .

education and profession

Trannacher was an employee of the knowledge academy of AVS Carinthia and head of social welfare for Carinthian women. She was also employed in mobile nursing and was a research assistant in various research projects. Trannacher was also a lecturer at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt as part of the university course to prepare for the university entrance examination and lecturer at the university course "Interdisciplinary Gerontology" at the Karl-Franzens University Graz .

Trannacher was the project manager for Volkshilfe Kärnten. The projects “Supervised living in the Hilda Schärf House” and the “Advice center for housing security” fell within her area of ​​responsibility.

Trannacher was a representative of the field of study and was intensely involved in the SPÖ women's organization, where she held the position of regional women chairwoman and was also the district chairwoman of Klagenfurt-Stadt. Trannacher was also a member of the federal women's executive committee and member of the state party presidium and state party executive committee of Carinthia.

From 2003 Trannacher represented the SPÖ in the Klagenfurt municipal council , and on March 31, 2004 she was sworn in as a member of the Carinthian state parliament. She ran in the 2009 state elections in fifth place on the SPÖ state list.

Private

Trannacher was married and had one child. She lived in Klagenfurt. She was also involved in football and was the first woman in Carinthia to hold an important position in the Carinthian Football Association as deputy chairman of the "1st class" . She was also on the board of the ASK Klagenfurt and previously president of the ASKÖ Wölfnitz .
