Sigismund bull

Sigismund Stier , also Latinized: Taurus (* around 1500 in Heilbronn ; † 1551 ) was a German prince educator , lawyer and chancellor .

Life

Sigismund Stier was a son of the Heilbronn printer and bookseller Sigmund Stier. He studied in Frankfurt an der Oder from 1518 , where he received his doctorate in baccalaurius artium two years later . From March 1521, bull can be detected at the University of Heidelberg . Here he received his master's degree in 1523. He gained his first pedagogical experience and in 1526 was appointed the Preceptor of the eleven-year-old Pomeranian duke's son Philip , who had come to Heidelberg to study from Stettin to the court of his uncle, Elector Ludwig V. In 1528, Stier was chaplain at the Jakobskapelle in Heilbronn.

Stier married in 1532 and in 1534 acquired the title of licentiate in both rights in Heidelberg . Stier has been working in the County of Mömpelgard since around 1537 . Eventually he became chancellor at the court of Count Georg von Württemberg-Mömpelgard.
