The dp1 Quattro is a compact camera from the Japanese company Sigma . Like the dp2 Quattro , it has the new Foveon X3 Quattro sensor and 29 effective megapixels . The camera has a wide-angle lens with a fixed focal length of 19 mm. The dp1 Quattro was officially presented at Photokina 2014 and has also been available in Germany since October 2014.

technical features

The Sigma dp1 Quattro is the second camera to be released from the newly developed dp series. Like the dp2 Quattro, it has the new, revised sensor, processor and the new design. The redesigned camera housing should be easier and more comfortable to use due to its shape.

The special feature of the camera is the Foveon-X3 direct sensor, which is similar in structure to the classic color film, as each layer can capture all information of the available light. In addition, the hue, value and chroma of all colors are recorded with each pixel via the direct image sensor.
