Sigurd Ulveseth (born July 13, 1953 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian jazz musician ( double bass ) and band leader.

With Sigurd Ulveseth Kvartett , three albums have been released since the mid-1990s. The combo consists of Adam Nussbaum (dr), Knut Riisnæs (s) and Dag Arnesen (p). As a sideman he is a member of the Marit Sandvik Band , the combo SWAP around Jan Gunnar Hoff , the "North West Quartet" around Frode Nymo.

He has participated in album recordings with Dag Arnesen , Frank Jakobsen ( Cocoon ), Tore Faye, Knut Kristiansen , Ole Jacob Hystad, Jan Kåre Hystad, Merethe Mikkelsen and Marit Sandvik. He made a Vietnam tour with Urban Connection . Ulveseth often performs at the Evans Jazz Club in Bergen and is part of the team there.
