Si (also Sij ) is the name of a high ancient Egyptian official and priest from the transition period from the end of the 3rd dynasty to the beginning of the 4th dynasty .
He is only attested by a mention on the false door of his board member Scheri . There he bears the title of "Overseer of the Ka servants of King Sened ". Nothing is known about the family and the grave. Dietrich Wildung sees in him a possible relative of the Scheri and the Inkef . For Egyptology , Si is of a certain interest despite being mentioned once, as it was obviously involved in the cult of the dead around King Sened . Sened's name appears in the inscription in a royal cartouche , which is an anachronism : Royal cartouches were only included in the royal title under King Huni (end of the 3rd dynasty).
