The Silbersee near the villages of Oberdieten , Achenbach and Kleingladenbach is a diabase lake in the Oberdieten quarry in Hesse . The lake, which is 520 meters above sea level , measures 160 meters in length and is between 30 and 50 meters deep. It got its name because of its appearance with steep rock walls and green shimmering water surface. The lake is a station on the “ Boxbachpfad ” hiking trail .
