Silke Gonska
Silke Gonska (* in Nordhausen , Thuringia ) is a German singer and drummer .
Live and act
Gonska received her first guitar lessons at the age of eleven. After training as a maintenance mechanic with a high school diploma, she worked as a postman, cleaning lady, dresser in the theater and cultural manager. At the same time she completed a music school education (guitar, drums ) and was engaged in Thuringian rock and punk bands (including Timur and his troop ) as a singer and on the drums. From 1992 to 1998 she studied musicology , singing and art history at the Liszt School of Music Weimar , the University of Leeds and the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and completed her studies with a master's thesis on Frank Zappa's film 200 Motels .
Since the beginning of 1999 she has been working as a freelance singer and singing teacher. She is on the road with various projects at home and abroad; she forms a duo with Frieder W. Bergner (trombone, tuba), was a singer in the Ensemble Creativ (Saxony-Anhalt) and in the Contemporary Jazz Band (with Wolfram Dix , Tom Götze, Gert Unger) and performs a solo program with Electronics and percussion on. In 2015 she went on tour with the English rock band The Muffin Men for the first time . She also teaches singing and gives singing workshops. Since April 2004 she has been teaching singing, voice training and speech training at the University of Erfurt .
