Silke Schneider

Silke Schneider (born September 2, 1967 ) is a German lawyer and political officer ( Bündnis90 / Die Grünen ). She was State Secretary of the State of Schleswig-Holstein from 2014 to 2020 . Initially, she worked for the areas of agriculture, the environment and rural areas in the Ministry for the Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas under Robert Habeck . From June 2017 to June 2020 she was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance under Monika Heinold . Since June 1, 2020, she has been President of the Lübeck Regional Court .

Life

Schneider studied law in Cologne and Hamburg , was a judge from 1997 and between 2006 and 2009 presiding judge at the Lübeck Regional Court. From 2008 to 2010 the lawyer worked as an equal opportunities officer in the Ministry of Justice of Schleswig-Holstein.

After Schneider held the post of director of the Bad Segeberg District Court between 2009 and 2014 , she was appointed State Secretary for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas in the Ministry of Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas on April 15, 2014 by Minister Robert Habeck country Schleswig-Holstein in the cabinet Albig appointed. Her successor in the Ministry of Finance was Silke Torp .

She is a licensed mediator . In 2014 she was at the Free University of Berlin with a thesis on the subject of confidentiality of mediation to Dr. jur. PhD.

Private

Silke Schneider was u. a. married to Hartmut Schneider , Vice President of the Lübeck Regional Court, and is the mother of six children from two marriages.
