Silver Fist is a Spanish power and thrash metal band from Madrid that was founded in 2002.
history
The band was founded in late 2002 by singer Silver Solorzano and drummer Iván "Belial" Manzano after their band Muro broke up. After the band had developed the first songs, the first appearances followed. The group played among other things as the opening band for Saratoga and Motörhead . After the band had signed a contract with Avispa Records , the recordings of the debut album Ave Fénix in the M-20 Studios followed in October 2003 . The album was released in April of the following year. The album included a CD with 11 of their own songs, as well as a second CD on which the band covered songs by classic metal bands such as Black Sabbath , Savatage or Slayer . Shortly thereafter, guitarist Diego Lopez and bassist Jose M. Pérez joined the band. In September 2004, the band recorded the song Killer of Giants , which was included on the Ozzy Osbourne Tribute album Tribute to Madman , which was produced by Jorge Escobedo . In 2005 the band performed under the name The Mad One on the ViñaRock, where they played songs from this with other musicians on the album. In 2005 the band worked on their second album and played other concerts with Saratoga, Baron Rojo and Medina Azahara . In January 2006 the band played together with Saratoga in Madrid. After that the band played on the German Keep It True , as well as on some other festivals. In June and July the band also recorded the second album Lágrimas de Sangre , which was released on November 6th. The album was recorded again at M-20 studios and produced by David Martínez and Hadrien Fregnac. It was mixed by Fredrik Nordström and Hendrik Udd in Studio Fredman before it was mastered by David Martínez. After that Nacho Ruiz left the band and was replaced by Pablo Fernandez. In 2007 a tour of Spain followed, where the band also played at various festivals. She also played at the German Headbangers Open Air. In the same year an English version of Lágrimas de Sangre appeared with Tears of Blood , with Lifeforce Records taking over the distribution.
style
The band plays a mixture of power and thrash metal, with some borrowings from progressive metal being audible.
