Silvia Meiertöns (now Silvia Laug ) (born May 4, 1955 in Schwerte ) is a former German volleyball player .

Silvia Meiertöns was 236 times German national player between 1971 and 1982 . In her youth she played for the 1st VC Schwerte . Then she played in the Bundesliga for 1. VC Hannover , VfL Hannover , SV Lohhof , TG Viktoria Augsburg and VC Straubing . The universal player has been German champion and DVV cup winner several times . In 1979 Silvia Meiertöns was voted volleyball player of the year .

Silvia Laug now works as a physiotherapist in Augsburg .
