Silvio Kuhnert

Silvio Kuhnert (born September 9, 1969 in Oelsnitz / Vogtl. ) Is a German singer of folk music and music producer . Known as "The Singing Innkeeper" he is also the chef in the country hotel "to Green Tree" in Vogtland place Taltitz .

Life

Silvio Kuhnert began his career as a chef with an apprenticeship at the “Am Fichtelberg” hotel in Oberwiesenthal in the Ore Mountains. As early as 1989 he was the youngest head chef in the Vogtland region in the “Bergkristall” restaurant. In the following years he completed various internships with renowned restaurateurs, including in the "Aubergine" at Eckart Witzigmann's in Munich. In 1993 he passed his master chef examination in Passau and in the same year became kitchen director at the IFA vacation hotel "Hohe Reuth" in Schöneck in Vogtland.

In 1995 he bought and opened his first own restaurant and sang for his guests. 10 years later he was also a successful interpreter of folk music and in 2005 opened the restaurant and country hotel "Zum Grünen Baum" in Taltitz together with his then partner and today's wife Viola . Here, Silvio Kuhnert hosts regular events for fans of folk music and, together with prominent representatives of the genre, provides professional entertainment.

As " The Singing Innkeeper from the Vogtland ", Silvio Kuhnert made several appearances on radio and television programs. B. at the " Musikantenschenke " of the MDR ( Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk ) and won numerous titles in various competitions.

Silvio Kuhnert is the author of the Vogtland cookbooks Von der Haselmühle zur Tanzermühle (Vogtländischer Heimatverlag, Plauen) published in 1998 and “ Das Obere Vogtland Cookbook ” (Edition Limosa, Clenze) in 2010.
