Simon N'Zita Wa Ne Malanda (born October 23, 1908 in Nkungi , Zaire , † December 17, 1991 ) was Bishop of Matadi .

Life

Simon N'Zita Wa Ne Malanda received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Matadi on August 18, 1940 .

On November 15, 1960 Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular bishop of Gindarus and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Matadi. The Bishop of Matadi, Alphonse Marie Van den Bosch CSsR , donated him episcopal ordination on February 12, 1961 ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Léopoldville , Joseph-Albert Malula , and the auxiliary bishop in Kisantu , Pierre Kimbondo .

Paul VI appointed him on December 18, 1965 . to the bishop of Matadi. The inauguration took place on January 8, 1966. Pope John Paul II accepted on March 8, 1985 the resignation put forward by Simon N'Zita Wa Ne Malanda for reasons of age.

Simon N'Zita Wa Ne Malanda attended the first, second and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
