Simon Schneeweiß (* in Znaim ; † October 25, 1545 in Crailsheim ) was a Protestant theologian and reformer .

Life

How and when Snow White came to Franconia is not known. Nothing is known about his education either. He was mentioned in 1529 when he Hofprediger the Margrave George of Brandenburg-Ansbach was. It was certainly not his first job. Five years later he became pastor and dean of Crailsheim .

During this time he worked together with Andreas Althamer and Johann Rurer on the preparation of reports. In 1537 the city of Crailsheim sent him as an envoy to Schmalkalden , where he signed the Schmalkalden Articles on behalf of his Evangelical Lutheran Church . He was also sent to the Hagenau Religious Discussion and returned after four weeks, as nothing happened in Hagenau . At the religious talk in Regensburg in 1541 he reappeared, presumably on the same order, but in no way emerged.
