Simon Zachenhuber

Simon Zachenhuber (born June 6, 1998 in Landshut ) is a German professional middleweight boxer. Grown up in the Erding district , he currently lives and trains in Stuttgart under the supervision of coach Conny Mittermeier.

Life

Simon Zachenhuber was born as the second of three children in Landshut in Lower Bavaria . Four weeks after his birth, his father, Hans Wolf Zachenhuber, had a sports accident and has been severely disabled ever since. Simon Zachenhuber grew up with his older sister Alisa first in Zolling near Moosburg and then in Reisen, a village near Erding . In 2004 his younger sister Amelie was born. He attended the Eitting elementary school and after a year at the Oberding elementary school switched to a secondary school in Munich. There he graduated in 2015 with the secondary school leaving certificate. He then attended the technical college in Erding and completed his school career with a technical diploma . Zachenhuber is a volunteer at his former swimming club TSV Erding and as a children's trainer for the kickboxing club Erding. During his time at the technical college, he worked as an intern at Münchner Merkur and supported his mother Rosemarie Zachenhuber and stepfather Karl Iwainski in their swimming school Babydelphienchen Erding. Zachenhuber starts a voluntary social year at his hometown club KBV Erding , which ends after six months in order to devote himself fully to his professional career. In 2018 Zachenhuber signed with the marketing agency Vitesse Kärcher.

Athletic career

Beginnings

At the age of five years Zachhuber began swimming .

In addition to swimming, Zachenhuber also played modern pentathlon and biathle sports between the ages of ten and seventeen .

His best placings in the Biathle were the German runner-up in 2009 and 3rd place in the German championship in 2014.

Participation in World Championships Biathle: 2009 Monaco, 2010 Sofia, 2011 Limassol, 2012 Dubai.

In the modern pentathlon, Zachenhuber started several times at Bavarian and South German championships. Here he reached places 2, 3 and 4.

Amateur career

At twelve, Simon Zach Huber started in his home town Erding with kickboxing . Starting with small beginners' tournaments, Zachenhuber quickly fought his way to the podium at Bavarian and German championships. Simon Zachenhuber fought in the world's largest association WAKO . After Zachenhuber reached third place in the German championship in 2015, he took part in his first World Cup in Innsbruck that same year. In 2016 Zachenhuber was accepted into the German junior national team. In the same year he takes part in the Junior World Championship in Dublin. Here Simon Zachenhuber was eliminated against Poland in the quarter-finals. In 2016, Simon Zachenhuber secured his first World Cup medal with second place at the Irish Open World Cup. In the last year of his amateur career (2017), Zachenhuber managed to win two World Cup gold and one bronze medal in addition to victories at Bavarian, international German and German championships. Also in 2017, the then 19-year-old Zachenhuber started for the men's national team at the World Championships in Budapest. Here he won the round of 16 against France and was just eliminated from Poland in the battle for the bronze medal. This should be the last appearance for Zachenhuber at amateur level and in kickboxing.

Professional boxes

Simon Zachenhuber decided at the age of only 19 and without having fought a single amateur boxing match to switch to the professionals. Zachenhuber has been training with Conny Mittermeier in Stuttgart since January 2018. He made his professional debut on May 18, 2018 in Potsdam at the Promoter Sauerland Event . The fight was broadcast on TV by Sport1 .
