Simon Zahner
Simon Zahner (born March 6, 1983 ) is a Swiss cyclist .
In cyclocross, Zahner became Swiss U23 champion in 2004 and took third place at the cyclocross world championships in the U23 class in 2005 in Sankt Wendel . By 2013 he had won a total of nine elite races on the international calendar. Until 2014 he placed on the podium of the elite race six times.
In 2009, Zahner won the overall rankings of the Flèche du Sud and Tour Alsace on the road . For the BMC Racing Team he contested the Giro d'Italia 2011 and finished this Grand Tour in 131st place overall. At the Swiss Elite Championships, he won the silver medal twice in the individual time trial and once in the road race .
On the track , Zahner won the bronze medal in the single pursuit at the Swiss Elite Championships in 2009 .
