Simone Strohmayr b. Leister (born September 13, 1967 in Augsburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Bavarian state parliament .

Life

Strohmayr grew up in Augsburg and went to school there too. After studying law in Augsburg and Munich , she gained her first professional experience as a branch manager of a law firm and as an in-house lawyer at the Sparkasse in Cottbus . In 1998 she did her doctorate on the subject of "Prisons and Human Dignity" at Bemmann. In 2000 she received her admission as a lawyer and has been a partner of a law firm in Augsburg. Simone Strohmayr is married and has three children.

politics

In 1999 Strohmayr joined the SPD Bavaria . The lawyer has been a member of the Bavarian state parliament for the SPD since 2003 and has been chairwoman of the working group of social democratic women in Swabia since 2004 . She is the family policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group. The political priorities are family and education policy . Here she is a member of the Bavarian Children's Commission. In the state elections in 2008 she ran for the second time for the SPD in the constituency Aichach-Friedberg ( constituency Schwaben ), but was elected via the district list of Swabia . Also in the state election in Bavaria on September 15, 2013 , she ran in this constituency (this time no longer against Reinhard Pachner (* 1944, Member of the Bundestag from 2002 to 2013)). She is also a member of the Education and Culture Committee.
