Simryn Gill
Simryn Gill (* 1959 in Singapore ) is a visual artist who lives in Australia and Malaysia .
life and work
Simryn Gill was trained in England and India and has lived in Sydney, Australia, and Port Dickson (Malaysia) since 1987. She mainly works with the means of photography and found objects . Thematically, she examines the representation and generation of meaning over longer periods of time. Simryn Gill and Juan Davila were the only Australian artists invited to documenta 12 in 2007 . Gill lives in Sydney . In 2013 she represented Australia at the Venice Biennale .
