Sina Nossa is a fado group from Unna and Dortmund .
history
Sina Nossa was founded in 2005 around the singer Anabela Ribeiro, a daughter of Portuguese guest workers , and her brother Armindo. The group consists of five Portuguese , one Brazilian and one German .
In the song Back to Zero , the third single from his album MatchPoint (2008), Uwe Ochsenknecht was accompanied by Sina Nossa's singer Anabela Ribeiro.
style
Sina Nossa devotes herself to the fado from Lisbon , but only rarely to its classic patterns. It differs from traditional fado singers and their accompaniment as a group with much broader instrumentation and musical influences, which come from jazz , Portuguese folklore and pop music , but also from Brazilian music and the music of the Cape Verde Islands . The group only calls itself an explicit Fado group because the German music market makes it necessary to reduce it to a clear name. The group wants to create diverse music based on fado. The Portuguese name of the group means something like "Our fate" and expresses the group's attachment to Fado.
