De Bressac's marriage is a farce; Martine seems to be just an obstacle on the way to her fortune, which her husband wants to usurp. After returning from an institution, De Bressac is repeatedly warned by her friend Wanda of her husband's sinister plans. When one day the attractive nun Norma is found wounded in front of the entrance to the common property, Armand decides to sexually subjugate her and to make herself compliant as a "toy". After the countess became increasingly desperate about her husband's affair with the bisexual teenager Fiore, she finally seduced the nun too. Fiore and Norma fall in love and want to escape. Both are caught red-handed by Armand and, while they are making love, simultaneously pierced with a sword. As a result, Armand increasingly despaired of his act. After repeatedly refusing to give in to his wife's sexual advances, he finally falls on her so violently that it appears that she is dying of the consequences. She later appears to her husband as a ghost and kills him with a sword. The end of the film offers the possibility of interpretation that De Bressac realized her own plan together with a dubious doctor.
