Lina Romay (actress)
Lina Romay (actually Rosa Maria Almirall Martínez , born June 25, 1954 in Barcelona , † February 15, 2012 in Málaga ) was a Spanish actress and porn actress .
Life
Romay, who initially played in Catalan on amateur stages , met the Spanish film director Jess Franco in 1972 and appeared in almost all of his films from then on. Mostly she played sexually aggressive and self-confident women in numerous sex and horror films , but also in adventurous materials . Romay also did hardcore scenes. In the mid-1980s she staged a number of works herself.
She lived with Franco in Torremolinos . Her pseudonym refers to the jazz singer and actress of the same name. She also used numerous other noms-de-film, including Candy Coster and Lulu Laverne . Her first marriage was to the actor and cameraman Ramón Ardid.
Romay died of cancer on February 15, 2012.
