The song Sing It Away was written by Sandhja Kuivalainen, Milos Rosas, Heikki Korhonen, Petri Matara and Markus Savijoki and published on January 13, 2016 as part of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2016 , the Finnish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . The third semifinal of the competition took place on February 20, 2016, in which the singer was able to qualify for the final, which took place a week later. She won the final with 160 points ahead of Saara Aalto ( No Fear ) and Mikael Saari ( On it Goes ). So she represented Finland with the song at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, but could not qualify for the final.
