Siri Klug (* 1972 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian camerawoman who creates images .

Life

Siri Klug studied camera and lighting design at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) and successfully completed her studies in 2006 with the diploma for lighting camerawoman (DOP). She learned from renowned visual designers such as Michael Ballhaus ( Gangs of New York ), Slawomir Idziak and Hans Fromm ( Wolfsburg ). At Reinhold Vorneider ( Orly ) she took over the second camera. Siri Klug and other filmmakers from Europe were invited to Christian Berger's Master Class ( The White Ribbon ) and took part in the talent campus of the Berlinalepart. She works as a camerawoman and image designer for national and international film productions and makes full-length documentaries and feature films. The film "Song From the Forest" (director: Michael Obert) was awarded the main prize at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in 2013 and is the winner of the German Documentary Film Prize 2015.

As a camerawoman, she realized projects in French Guiana, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, in the tropical rainforest of the Central African Republic, in Vietnam, France, Great Britain, Russia and numerous states in the USA.

Since 2010 she has been giving seminars on camera and lighting technology, image design and dramaturgy at universities in Germany and Austria.

Siri Klug lives in Berlin.
