Siro Silvestri

Siro Silvestri (born October 15, 1913 in Ameglia , La Spezia province , Italy , † June 14, 1997 ) was Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Foligno and the Diocese of La Spezia-Sarzana-Brugnato .

Life

Siro Silvestri was ordained a priest on December 31, 1937 . Pope Pius XII appointed him bishop of the Diocese of Foligno in 1955 . He was ordained bishop on September 18, 1955. Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop Luni in 1975; after renaming from 1986 from La Spezia-Sarzana-Brugnato. His age-related resignation was granted by John Paul II in 1989.
