Sivert Wiig (born August 21, 1997 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .
Career
Wiig, who competes for Gjesdal Il, made his first international appearance at the 2015 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Steg . There he took 16th place over 7.5 km freestyle and sixth place over 10 km classic. He completed his first races in the Scandinavian Cup in December 2017 in Vuokatti , which he finished in 54th place over 15 km classic and 29th place in the sprint. At the U23 World Championships in Lahti in 2019 , he finished fifth in the sprint. He made his debut in the Cross-Country World Cup in March 2019 in Drammen . He got his first World Cup points with ninth place in the sprint.
