Jürgen Goertz, Tower of the Gray Horses

Sculptour Bietigheim-Bissingen is a sculpture trail in Bietigheim-Bissingen in Baden-Württemberg .

Project description

Between the 1970s and 2003, the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen renovated its historic city center. From the early 1980s onwards, sculpture exhibitions and the artistic design of public spaces and parks were associated with it, with a clear focus on figurative works. After heated discussions at the beginning, an art ensemble has emerged that is now well-known beyond the region. Especially the works of Jürgen Goertz should be mentioned: The Ku (h) riosum , the tower of the gray horses and the overall artistic design of the Villa Visconti .

At the State Horticultural Show in 1989 and a sculpture symposium in 2000, additional works were created that were displayed in Bietigheim-Bissingen. All works are owned by the city.
