The Sladen Summit is a striking and 3395 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range, it rises at the intersection of Johns Hopkins Ridge and Rampart Ridge .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1994 after the US-British ornithologist William Joseph Lambart Sladen (1920-2017), long-time senior scientist of the United States Antarctic Research Program to study penguin populations at Cape Crozier .
