Slate is a part of the district town Parchim in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Geography and transport links

Slate is located south of Parchim town center on the B321 . The B 191 runs north and the A 24 south . The Rote Bach flows through the village , an eight kilometer long brook that flows into the Elde on the eastern edge of the village . The north 70 extends ha great conservation area Slater Moor (see list of protected landscape areas in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern , No. L 96.).
