Sledgehammer Games is an American development studio for computer games. The studio was founded in 2009 by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey , who had previously worked at Visceral Games and were responsible for the development of the Dead Space series , among other things .

Sledgehammer Games began developing a call-of-duty title from a third-person perspective in 2009 that would fundamentally change the series. In April and May 2010, Jason West and Vince Zampella , Infinity Ward left along with 47 other employees to Respawn Entertainment to found, Activision did stop the development and cooperate with the now under occupied Infinity Ward to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 finish to can.
