Sledgehammer Games is an American development studio for computer games. The studio was founded in 2009 by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey , who had previously worked at Visceral Games and were responsible for the development of the Dead Space series , among other things .
history
Sledgehammer Games began developing a call-of-duty title from a third-person perspective in 2009 that would fundamentally change the series. In April and May 2010, Jason West and Vince Zampella , Infinity Ward left along with 47 other employees to Respawn Entertainment to found, Activision did stop the development and cooperate with the now under occupied Infinity Ward to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 finish to can. After the development of the new THD was stopped, Sledgehammer Games said that further development cannot be ruled out.

The game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 , co-developed by Sledgehammer Games, was sold 6.5 million times in one day in the United States and the United Kingdom alone, generating sales of 470 million US dollars.
