In summer the tower is open to visitors in the afternoon. There is a small exhibition in the building at the foot of the tower.
From the tower there is a hiking trail along the south coast eastwards to a watchtower ruin ( Tyskertårnet ) from the time of the German occupation of Denmark in World War II (1940–1945) on a hill. From there you have a great view.
About 500 m north along the coast are more concrete foundations and ruins, which have been converted into a bivouac for kayakers .
